Corporate Compliance

With the Sartorius compliance system, the Group aims to ensure compliance with all pertinent legal regulations, codes and in-house rules, policies and guidelines. This system is continuously being further developed and adapted to meet the current, constantly evolving legal and social requirements. It is linked with the risk management and internal auditing of our company.

The Sartorius compliance system consists of the following components, in particular, which are optimally matched to one another and described in the following:

Sartorius Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct comprises minimum standards relating to the law-abiding and ethical approach that all Sartorius employees across the world must take. The Code serves as the basis for desirable conduct at all our Group companies. It is intended to provide our employees with guidance on responding to moral and legal challenges encountered on a daily basis in the workplace.

This Code is designed to make all employees aware of the company- and department-specific risks of corruption, while providing guidance, instructions and help to enable them to take the appropriate action to prevent and fight such corruption.

Whistleblower Portal

In addition to having set up established routes for reporting compliance-related concerns to the Compliance Department, Sartorius has created a whistleblower portal to enable employees, suppliers, customers or partners to report any potentially damaging conduct 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This specially secured portal is made available through an external provider who is specialized in handling confidential data securely. Every whistleblower can decide whether or not to report compliance-related concerns by giving his or her name or by doing so anonymously.
