Downstream Technology Forum
Based upon a series of successful meetings since 2004, the Downstream Forum provides the latest technical and scientifical approaches in downstream processing to accelerate development and optimize production of vaccines and biopharmaceuticals. The downstream processing has seen many challenges over the past few years; from handling high product titres into the so called "purification bottle neck" to running single-use platforms. The recent surge in single-use technologies has helped reduce personnel, validation costs and risk to product safety, as well as reducing time to market.
This event is an interactive forum for biotech industry experts to specifically address the current needs and innovations in purification technologies.

About Past Downstream Technology Forums
Amitava Kundu, PhD,
Associate Director PD, Genmab, USA
“The Downstream Forum was very well organized. The presentations covered a wide range of relevant subjects from cell culture to formulations of protein therapeutics. Speakers with a good grasp of their area of expertise were chosen to deliver quality presentations. The forum also had a nice overview of the available technologies from Sartorius Stedim, especially pertaining to the topic of single use components in bioprocessing. The organizers arranged an excellent dinner reception at a beautiful lakeside resort which allowed further networking opportunities with the attendees of this forum.”
David Delvaille
BPS Project coordinator, MerckSerono Biodevelopment, France
"I am really attached to this forum since I came at least 3 to 4 times.
Adding to very good organisations, high-skilled presentations and nice people, this downstream forum is one of my favourite.
The forum is open-minded: no restriction regarding suppliers/ brands, all ideas are presented and discussed objectively: working all together to improve our knowledge, share expertise and find new solutions."
Lee Allen, PhD,
Senior Group Leader, Purification Development,
Lonza Biologics plc UK
"The downstream forum was a well organised event with an excellent range of speakers presenting case studies of innovative solutions to downstream processes challenges.”
